Spotify announced on December 4 that they will be laying off an additional 17 % of their existing workforce just before the holidays.😓

Spotify finally showed up to the streaming party, late and with stale chips. But hey, they brought a "present": axed 17% of their employees! That's like inviting your guests to a party and then kicking them out the door. Talk about a party pooper!😒😅

I think the tech newbies of 2024 should focus more on:

- DevOps
- Cloud computing
- Cloud development

I can't imagine more diving into the frontend, given the backlog from layoffs in the past year or so. What do you think?

I have been using Bard since the week it was released, and it initially struggled with conversations. Its performance was far below that of the GPT 3.5 model. It frequently failed to respond to simple prompts and never seemed to retain the context of the conversation. 

I became so frustrated that I switched to Bing for several months. However, since the EU update, Bard has made significant strides. 

 If the engineers keep on improving it like this, Bard would surely be even better. What do you think?

Folks, I wanted to make a prediction that most of us pretty much know already.

2023 our salaries haven’t grown at all. Across my group of friends at work and college, the average amount of increment I heard is close to 5%. 

Our salaries are staying stagnant 🚫 and inflation is going up 📈, which means that our purchasing power is actually going down 📉.

This is a recipe for disaster 💣, and it's only going to get worse 👎

So what can we do about it? 🤔

March'22-Sep'22, Oct22-May'23, June'22-Dec'23 contract ends.
