Mental Health

Research has found that procrastination is not a time-management issue but more of a self-regulation problem.
We Procrastinate when we are unable to manage negative feelings around a task (such as boredom, anxiety, etc.) 

This is especially true when we have "task aversion". Maybe the task is too boring or complex. You want to avoid negative feeling when you think about the task, so you might open up Youtube or Instagram.

The 10 minute rule is a helpful way to minimize procrastination and take action before our emotions take over.
